The military art of Rob Chapman represents the fighting man from the late 17th Century to the present day. His work portrays the day to day life of the soldier on campaign and his images reflect the effects of active service on body and soul.

Rob is well known for his meticulous research and his carefully considered interpretations of the circumstances of his subject. His work is accurate and detailed while retaining the crucial elements of life and spontaneity.

Commissions for paintings and illustrations are welcomed and Rob is always interested in ideas for collaborations. Rob has produced artwork for major publishers, regimental collections and individuals.
